The project

Context.

A wearable accelerometer and gyroscope prototype for real-time wrist-motion analysis. The system streams three-axis measurements into Python and includes an ESP32-hosted phone dashboard.

Scope & implementation

Inside the work.

  • Extracted RMS motion, gyroscope intensity, dominant frequency, tremor-band, and harmonic features.
  • Compared recordings of rest, simulated tremor, and normal larger movement.
  • Made results visible through live graphs and a phone-browser interface.

Educational prototype tested with simulated tremor, not a diagnostic system or clinical Parkinson’s study.
